It seems like Mao made a lot of interviews those days. Take a look at four of those...

Here's some good informations about it that Batsuchan from Ballerina on ice translated! Thanks a lot!

Arrow [Hehe, I'm copying Okami with the arrows! Hell, no!] In the second clip, at around 1:50, Mao is talking about the triple axel and how she has confidence in it now and think it will be an important part for her programs next year, and then she says, "at the very least, I want to be good friends with the triple axel!" Her phrasing just made me Razz!

ArrowMai says: "Mao practices harder and works harder than anyone else, and it's hard to always be #1, and she's always facing the competitions with such heavy pressure, and I think, 'Amazing!'"

ArrowAround 3:20 - the clip shows 15-year old Mao describing how she thinks she'll be in 4 years, and she says, "I think I'll be kind of like an old lady." ROTFLMAO Then she says, "in four years time, I think I'll be doing no-mistake performances in every competition." When I saw that, I thought, wow, Mao really has grown up so much!

ArrowHer words at the end were really good, and when she was talking, I felt like I could see a little bit of that 15-year old Mao shining through:
5:10 - "Without forgetting the old me, without forgetting that feeling of 'I love skating,' I won't think it's fun, but, if I can relax, and not think about the competition too much, it still won't be 'fun,' but it would be good if I can face the competitions with an excited feeling!"
[This is hard to translate because Mao keeps saying something like, "then it will be fun - NOT!", so she's kind of joking around, but it doesn't work in English so well...Sweatdrop]
April 22th, 2009 Since the competitive season is over, Mao seems to be busy with interviews!
Here's an interview concerning the World Team Trophy (if I find the translation, I'll let you know!):
part 1
part 2

1st episode

Finally, Mao made a new commercial with Ghana Chocolate for Lotto. It's about the Mother's day. Mao talks about how her mother is always with her supporting her. Cute!!
April16th, 2009 Mao is in first place after the short program with a score of 75.84 (which is her new personnal best!). She is in the lead with about 13 points. Team Japan is in second place! The ladies long programs are on Saturday, however, tomorrow is the Pairs, Ice Dance and Mens!
